History

Yuba County was founded in 1850. Parts of the county were

distributed to Placer County and Nevada County in 1851 and to

Sierra County in 1852. The County was named after the Yuba

River.

A total of 11 buildings and sites of the counties are registered in the

National Register of Historic Places.

According to the Census Bureau, the county has a total area of ​​

1,668 km² , of which 1,634.3 km² is land and 33.7 km² (2.03%) is

water.
